Information regarding the U.S. Census may be obtained through the U.S. Census Bureau website at http://www.census.gov/.

 

The State of Florida contracts with the University of Florida’s Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR) to provide annual projections for the years between Federal Census years. You may access their website at http://www.bebr.ufl.edu/.

 

The Brevard County Central Reference Library and Reference Center maintains demographic information for the County. The Library is located at 308 Forrest Ave., Cocoa, FL, 32922. The Reference Librarian on the first floor can provide assistance in obtaining demographic information. The phone number for the Library is 321-633-1792.

 

 

 

DEMOGRAPHICS


The Brevard County Planning & Zoning Office Research Section provides planning, demographic, economic and geographic analyses, housing studies and other general and special research. It is our aim through this effort to assist planners, government officials/entities, private developers, concerned citizens, consultants and a vast array of clients in their information needs, which in turn, will promote wiser and more informed decisions affecting Brevard’s future growth.

The Research Section serves as a repository for Census data and information for Brevard County.

 

Mission:

Provide accurate and timely information regarding demographic research and analytical services to sustain and enhance the quality of life in Brevard County. Promoting effective and efficient uses of this data through local and regional planning in an efficient and cost-effective manner

Special reports and maps can be produced upon request, usually for a nominal fee.

Brevard County Socioeconomic Overview

The Socioeconomic Overview was developed in response to the most frequent data requests including population, housing, education, economic and social characteristics of the county.

 

Brevard County Statistical Abstract

A comprehensive collection of historical and the most recent data inclusive of Population, Housing, Vital Statistics, Education, Income, Employment, Health and Social Services, Finance, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Elections, Public Safety, Crime and Corrections and Tourism. Updated Annually. Cost:$15.00

 

Census 2000 Profiles

General Demographic and Selected Social, Economic and Housing Profile Data for Brevard County has been tabulated from the release of Census 2000 data. Updated Brevard County data, incorporating further results of Census 2000, will be compiled as the data is released.
