DISTRICT 1

 

1.  WILLIAM L. (JR.) & TRUDY T. PERRY – request variances of Chapter 62, Article VI, Brevard County Code, /1/ Section 62-1342 (5) (b) and Section 62-1102 to permit a variance of 10 ft. from the required 20-ft. rear setback for an accessory structure on a double-frontage lot; /2/ Section 62-2109 (c) to permit a variance of 2 ft. over the 4-ft. height limitation for a fence located within the rear setback area on a double-frontage lot; and /3/ Section 62-2109 (c) to permit a variance of 2 ft. over the 4-ft. height limitation for a fence located within the side street setback area on a corner lot. The property is zoned RU-1-7 and is described in Section 15, Township 23, Range 35. (0.27 acre)  Located on the northwest corner of Everett St. & Falk Ave.  (5230 Everett St., Cocoa)

BOA ACTION:  Kusterer/Bovell - APPROVED, as depicted on the survey provided by the applicant.  Vote was unanimous.  V-3309.

 

DISTRICT 2

 

2.  CALVIN E. (JR.) & DEBORAH H. FUNKHOUSER – request variances of Chapter 62, Article VI, Brevard County Code, /1/ Section 62-2118 (d) (2) to permit a variance of 5 ft. from the required 7.5-ft. side setback (west) as projected in a straight line into the waterway for a boat dock; /2/ Section 62-2118 (d) (5) to permit a variance of 104 sq. ft. over the maximum 400 sq. ft. allowed for the deck of a boat dock which extends out over the water; and /3/ Section 62-2118 (d) (5) to permit a variance of 23 sq. ft. over the maximum 600 sq. ft. allowed for the area defined by the deck of a boat dock, together with the roofed area. The property is zoned RU-1-9 and is described in Section 25, Township 24, Range 36.  (0.17 acre)   Located on the north side of Riverside Ave., approx. 220 ft. east of Hampton Way.  (430 Riverside Ave., Merritt Island)

BOA ACTION:  Bovell/Rosasco - APPROVED, as depicted on the survey provided by the applicant.  Vote was unanimous.  V-3310.

 

DISTRICT 3

 

3.  JEFFREY W. & TRACY A. MOFFETT – request a variance of Chapter 62, Article VI, Brevard County Code, Section 62-1372 (5) (d) to permit a variance of 7 ft. from the required 15-ft. separation distance between principal structures on the same site in an RU-2-10 zoning classification. The property is described in Section 10, Township 29, Range 38. (0.17 acre) Located on the west side of Casseekee Trail, approx. 550 ft. west of A1A. (105 Casseekee Trail, Melbourne Beach)

BOA ACTION:  Rosasco/Bovell - APPROVED, as depicted on the survey provided by the applicant.  Vote was unanimous.  V-3311.

 
 
 
 

 

 

Pursuant to Section 62-254, Brevard County Code, any person or persons jointly or severally aggrieved by any decision of the Board of Adjustment may, within thirty (30) days after the date of the public hearing at which the decision was rendered, but not thereafter, apply to a court of competent jurisdiction for appropriate relief.

 

This meeting will be broadcast live on Space Coast Government Television (SCGTV) on Bright House Networks Channel 199, Comcast Channel 51 in North Brevard and Comcast Channel 13 in South Brevard .
