WHAT IS HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS? Any substance that can cause injury or is harmful if not handled properly.

 

These chemicals not only pose a threat to people but our environment as well.

 

When not properly disposed, they can injure sanitation workers and pollute our water resources.

MOCKINGBIRD MULCHING FACILITY
3600 SOUTH STREET, TITUSVILLE

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Directions:

Take S.R. 50 (Exit 215 on I-95) head north on S.R. 405 for
about 2 miles.  The facility is at the intersection of Park
Avenue and South Street.

CENTRAL DISPOSAL FACILITY
2250 ADAMSON ROAD, COCOA

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Directions:

Take S.R. 524 west, turn right onto Adamson Road.  The
facility is approximately 2 miles on the left (across from
Exotic Acres Bird Farm)

SARNO LANDFILL
3379 SARNO ROAD MELBOURNE

Hours of Operation:
Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Directions:

Take Eau Gallie Boulevard (Exit 183 on I-95) east to Sarno
Road (2nd traffic light). The entrance to the landfill is on the
right (after Washburn Road)

Drop and Swap Program:

The Drop and Swap Program operates at the Cocoa and Sarno HHHW Collection Centers Only. Items are separated into usable products brought in by residents. Residents can browse and
pickup products including usable household cleaners, automotive fluids and paint products free of charge.  These usable products would otherwise be disposed of through the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program.


Richard's Paint reprocess the latex paint collected at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers and Collection Events.

The recycled paint is available twice a year usually in the early Spring and late Summer

to the public on a first come first served basis.

What about Businesses's? (Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators & Small Quantity Generators (CESQG & SQG)

The Solid Waste Management Department has developed a vendor referral program designed to give small businesses in Brevard County a cost effective method to properly dispose of small quantities of hazardous wastes.
