Point In Time Count

The Point In Time Count is a census of the homeless population for Brevard County. Each year on the last Thursday in January the Brevard County Housing and Human Services Department organizes the 24 hour count of the homeless men, women and children, who live and work in Brevard County. The reasoning behind the 24-hour count is that the Point In Time Count becomes the representative sample of the homeless population and becomes the measurement of the homeless population to estimate needs and services when applying for Federal and State grants and other funding for the remainder of the year of the Point in Time Count.
