SUPPLY: The Supply section is responsible for all fire and medical supplies that are used by the Department in it's daily functions. They are responsible for uniforms, protective gear, hurricane supplies, etc. They are not only responsible for the distribution of supplies, drugs, gear, and etc., but also for the purchase and inventory of those items.
INVENTORY: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for over 2, 042 capital items at an approximate value of $18, 100, 000.00. An inventory is done on an annual basis and takes approximately 4 months to complete.
FACILITY CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE: The Facilities section is responsible for the construction, renovations and maintenance of the 31 Fire Rescue Stations, the Fleet Facility, and the Supply Facility. All maintenance and repair issues are reported to the construction coordinator and she in turns notifies the Brevard County Facilities Maintenance Department with what needs to be done. The Construction Coordinator also works with Contractors, Architects, etc. in the construction and renovations of any Fire Rescue facilities. |
