Construction and Maintenance Construction and Facility Maintenance strives to maintain a quality of life for the fire rescue crews during times of renovations, repair and construction in manner that least disrupts or impacts our crews. We do this by effectively planning and coordinating new construction, repairs, and. New construction projects are managed by the Facilities Department. We are also responsible for coordinating the renovations of the 32 Fire Rescue Stations, Fleet Facility, Supply Facility, building new stations and facility maintenance. There are a number of renovation projects which we budget for annually. Examples of these projects include renovation of bathrooms, painting (interior and exterior), repair of concrete aprons and station antennas. Our capital improvement plan includes a number of different projects such as: Fire and EMS Station 48 (Viera) Fire and EMS Station 80 (Suntree) EMS Station 84 (Palm Bay) Future capital improvement plan projects include: Fire Station 40 (Merrit Island) Fire Station 42 (Merrit Island) Fire & EMS Station 86 (Barefoot Bay) Fire & EMS Station 63 (Indialantic) Fire & EMS Station 82 (West Melbourne)
