Volunteer firefighters have played a significant role in the Fire Service
for hundreds years. Today, volunteer firefighters still play important part
for communities across the country.
Brevard County Fire Rescue has several volunteer departments throughout Brevard
County. Like the EMS Reservists, volunteer firefighters offer their time to
spend with one of the Volunteer Departments. Volunteer firefighters respond
to the many emergency calls, such as house and other structure fires, brush
fires, vehicle crashes and more.
