TRAINING
The Training Section is under the direction of Division Chief Fred Jodts.
He is responsible for the management
of recruitment, testing, hiring orientation, promotional testing, training,
and the health and wellness for more than 500 career and volunteer personnel.

| The Office of Professional Standards was established to provide a consistent method for addressing all Department personnel issues. The Professional Standards Office is responsible for setting Department standards, recognizing outstanding employee performance, and ensuring that all internal personnel issues are managed in a consistent and appropriate manner. The Professional Standards Office also has the privilege of producing the Department’s Annual Awards Program. I have been employed with Brevard County Fire Rescue since October of 1988. In September of 1992, I was promoted to Lieutenant and joined the Specialized Response Team, (SRT). I served eleven years on SRT and in August 2003 promoted to Captain in the Professional Standards Office. In December of 2004 was promoted to District Chief in the Professional Standards Office and assumed the position of Department Awards Committee Chair. |
