OFFICE OF EMS
Orlando Dominguez Division Chief Orlando Dominguez - EMT-P, is the Chief of EMS Operations. He is a 16-year veteran of Brevard County. District Chief Dominguez is responsible for the medical care administered by the paramedics and emergency medical technicians on twenty six A.L.S. (Advanced Life Support) transport units and twenty A.L.S. fire engines. District Chief Dominguez is also responsible for maintaining the Medical Protocols , in conjunction with Dr. John McPherson Medical Director for Brevard County Fire Rescue. The Office of EMS is responsible for monitoring contracts with other agencies as well as overseeing the Brevard County Fire Rescue Quality Assurance Committee.
John Dotyjohn.doty@brevardcounty.usJohn is the EMS Coordinator. John has been involved with EMS for twelve years, and has been with Brevard County for three years. John's responsibilities include the collection of EMS statistics and data. John is also responsible for the storage and distribution of controlled substances as well as overseeing the Monthly Patient Survey and he is the custodian of records and assures that all necessary state licenses are maintained. John also serves as the Privacy Information Officer. In accordance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), Brevard County Fire Rescue maintains certain confidential health care information. EMS Grant ApplicationBelow you will find a Brevard County EMS Grant Application. The grant process will be reopened beginning January 7, 2009. The application process will be closed at 5:00 pm on February 7, 2009. If you have already submitted an application, there is no need to resubmit as your application will still be on file. For all new submissions, please ensure that the application is completed and mail it to Brevard County Fire Rescue, Office of EMS.
