Light Frame-Truss-Type Construction Became Law December 13, 2009 .

Florida Statute 60A-60.0081 requires the owner of any commercial, industrial or multi-unit
residential structure of 3 units or more constructed of light frame trusses to
install an 8" X 8"
Maltese Cross made of bright red reflective material.
Per the Florida Building Code 2007 edition
LIGHT-FRAME CONSTRUCTION.
A type of construction whose vertical and horizontal structural elements
are primarily formed
by a system of repetitive wood or light gage steel framing members.
1. Structures with light-frame truss roofs shall be marked with the letter R.
2. Structures with light-frame truss floor systems shall be marked with the letter F.
3. Structures with light-frame truss floor and roof systems shall be marked with the letters R/F.
