BRUSH TRUCKSBrush trucks are made from 5 ton flatbed trucks. They are then modified with a water tank and pump. Piping is installed from the pump to several outlets, including one mounted on the front of the brush truck. This allows a firefighter to use a hoseline to extinguish wildland fires while a driver maneuvers around the fireline. Hose and other equipment are added to complete the brush trucks. These brush trucks play a vital role in the aid the wildland fires.
