Chief Collins has over 30 years of progressive leadership and management
experience in a large metropolitan fire department. Chief Collins has served 11 years as the Fire Chief of
the Dayton Ohio Fire Department.
Chief Collins began his career with Dayton Fire Department in 1978; through his abilities and knowledge,
he progressed up the ranks to the position of Fire Chief. Chief Collins has extensive experience in incident
scene management, specialty training and experience in Haz/Mat and FEMA Urban Search and Rescue
(USAR) Team operations and National Incident Management System (NIMS).
Chief Collins has experience in
community-based master planning and internal fire department strategic and operational planning,
including community emergency preparedness and Homeland Security/WMD initiatives. |
