Environmental Outreach and Education

Brevard County NRMO does not have a formal Environmental Education program, but has a variety of educational resources and expertise that are used to present various programs. Some of the resources available to school groups, organizations, and others can be found below.

The Environmental Field StationEnvironmental Field Station

 

This historical church turned classroom is perfectly situated across from the Indian River Lagoon. Hands-on learning activities such as seining in the Indian River Lagoon, are offered upon request by NRMO staff.  Call 633-2016 for more information.

 

 

 

Non-native Noxious Invasive Plant Education

 

Educating the public about the problems of Non-native Invasive Plants is one of our top priorities. A variety of educational materials are currently being developed, and many presentations have been given about these major threats to our natural resources.

Resources for Teachers

Brevard County works with other agencies locally and throughout the state to develop educational resources, curriculum, field trips, and on-line learning.  Check out these websites for resources.
