The Community Supervision program provides Initial Appearance Judges with an avenue to release from incarceration, defendants who awaiting trial when they do not bond out or do not meet the requirements for pretrial release, release on own recognizance or signature bond.

Defendants are closely monitored for compliance with the conditions of release set by the court and referred, as appropriate, to treatment, mental health, or educational programs. The program helps reduce jail overcrowding while providing an alternative to incarceration.
