Road & Bridge Construction currently consists of a twenty five-man crew. In addition to providing supplemental construction services to Roadway Maintenance, Roadway Construction works with other County Departments on the construction of infrastructure related improvements.
Interdepartmental projects might include baffle boxes, weir installations, major drainage improvements, parking lot, pedway/sidewalk and road construction, as well as driveway installation, water and sewer line installation, and drainage related improvements.
In addition to the types of projects noted above, Road & Bridge Construction routinely reviews construction plans as submitted by independent consultants for County projects. These reviews include an emphasis on long-term maintenance by the County upon completion, and compliance with County standards and regulations.
