This 53.93-acre community park features a natural Florida hammock and nature preserve. A popular site for nature walks and outdoor festivals including the annual Crackerfest, it features an elevated boardwalk winding through three different ecosystems where native plant species and small animals can be viewed. 2014 Summer Nature Camp Info
Erna Nixon Park will host Nature Camp this summer. Camp will run for 6 weeks: June 2-6, June 9-13, June 16-20, June 23-27, July 7-11, and July 14-18. The cost is $90 per week plus the cost of field trips. Normal camp hours are 9 am to 4 pm but may vary due to certain field trips. Nature Camp is designed for kids, ages 7 to 13 who love the outdoors. It offers a mix of science and nature activities that promote environmental education.
