Therapeutic Recreation is a specialized area in the field of recreation that focuses specifically on providing recreation and leisure services for people with disabilities. Inclusion Services are also provided, with reasonable accommodations, joining our “typically developing” participants in the same activity.

Adult athletic programs are designed to provide a competitive leisure opportunity that promotes physical and mental well being to the participants through team and individual league play.   Central Area Parks and Recreation offers a variety of adult athletics which range from recreational to competitive sports, fitness classes, individual sports and 3K, 5K, walks/runs, Bi and Tri-Athlons.  Check with your local park or community page to see what’s in your area.
