
Mary Bolin Lewis was elected to the Brevard County Commission in 2006. Served as Chairman of the Commission in 2010. In November 2010 Commissioner Bolin Lewis was reelected by the citizens of District 4 to serve for an additional 4 year term as their Brevard County Commissioner. Mary’s leadership, commitment and teamwork approach to all issues has assisted in the construction of the Pineda Extension to Interstate 95, and soon to be completed connection between St. Andrews Blvd. and Brisbane Blvd. Mary is a problem solver who strives for positive results. Mary initiated the establishment of the Efficiency Commission which is proven to be a useful tool for County management, and Mary has led the action to establish a “Local Preference Resolution” in support of Brevard County Businesses.
Mary Bolin Lewis has a solid resume of community service over the years. Mary has served as past Chairperson of Brevard Long-Term Recovery Commission, past member of the American Red Cross Brevard Chapter, former member of the Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors, former member of the Advisory Committee of University of Central Florida Family and Consumer Sciences. Mary Bolin Lewis currently serves a member of the Value Adjustment Board, Indian River Lagoon National Estuaries Program, Florida Association of Counties and Mary is a member of the Space Coast League of Cities.
Mary’s community spirit and special devotion to our children, seniors and troops is evident on a daily basis. Mary is often volunteering at community events, promoting a common sense approach in support of issues which clearly affect our community’s future. Mary was raised in a small Iowa town where she learned Mid Western values. Mary is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A in education. Mary is married to Bill Lewis.
