Robin served two terms as the Chair of the Central Florida YMCA Board, which includes six counties and 26 locations. As Campaign Chair for the Brevard County YMCA, he was responsible for raising $2.5 million which resulted in the construction of the Titusville YMCA Family Center on Park Avenue in Titusville.  In 2007 he was presented with the John W. Sterci Award for over 20 years of volunteer service.  This is YMCA’s highest honor.

This year, the Junior Achievement of the Space Coast announced that it has selected Robin as a Business Hall of Fame Laureate.  To be selected, the nominee’s record of business achievement must demonstrate business excellence, courageous thinking and actions, vision and innovation, inspiring leadership and community mindedness.

The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast awarded Robin with the Gary R. Cunningham Distinguished Service Award in December 2012.  This award recognizes exceptional business leaders for their efforts in supporting economic development.

Professionally, Robin has been an agent with State Farm Insurance Company for the past 24 years.  During his tenure with State Farm his accomplishments have been numerous.  Among them are awards for production and service. He has been awarded with the Legion of Honor Qualifier, the Silver Scroll Qualifier and is a distinguished member of the National Convention Qualifier President’s Club. Robin’s early life included relocating to Brevard County in 1971 from Norfolk, VA. Upon his graduation from Satellite High School in 1978, he attended the University of Florida on an athletic scholarship.  As Captain of the University of Florida Gator football team in 1981, Robin set the record for the only defensive lineman to lead the entire Gator defensive team for most tackles in one season; a record he still holds today.  In 1982 he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. Later, he was drafted by the Miami Dolphins and went on to play professional football in the USFL with the Chicago Blitz as well as the Arizona Wranglers.
